This policy explains what data GoBeep collects, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and authentication details, handled by our identity provider.
- Monitor configuration — the names, cron schedules, timezones, and grace periods you set up.
- Ping data — the heartbeats your jobs send us, along with their timestamps, used to compute monitor status.
- Alert settings — an optional Slack webhook URL you choose to provide.
- Billing data — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store full card details.
How we use it
- To run the monitoring service and detect when a job misses a run.
- To send you alerts by email and, if configured, Slack.
- To manage your account, plan, and billing.
- To keep the service secure and operational.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of trusted third parties to operate GoBeep: an authentication provider, an email delivery provider, a payment processor, and cloud hosting for our application and database. Each processes data only as needed to provide their part of the service.
Data retention
We keep your account and monitor data for as long as your account is active. Ping history is retained to power your dashboards and may be pruned over time. If you delete your account, we delete your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
